New Scholarship Program
KIAT announces a new scholarship program for outstanding students in STEM fields.

KIAT has announced a new scholarship program aimed at supporting outstanding students in STEM fields. The program, funded by a generous donation from the Kyrgyzstan Technology Foundation, will provide full tuition coverage and a monthly stipend to selected students. The selection process will be based on academic merit, extracurricular activities, and a personal statement. The scholarship aims to encourage more students to pursue careers in science and technology and contribute to the development of Kyrgyzstan's tech industry.
The scholarship program, named the "KIAT Excellence in STEM Scholarship," will be available to both incoming and current students. For incoming students, the scholarship will be awarded based on their performance in the university entrance examination and a personal interview. Current students will be evaluated based on their academic performance, involvement in research or extracurricular activities, and a recommendation from a faculty member.
"We are committed to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for students to excel in STEM fields," said Dr. Aibek Karimov, the President of KIAT. "This scholarship program is a step towards making quality education accessible to deserving students, regardless of their financial background."
The scholarship will cover full tuition fees for the duration of the program, provided that the recipient maintains a specified academic standard. In addition, recipients will receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses and a one-time grant for the purchase of a laptop or other necessary equipment.
The Kyrgyzstan Technology Foundation, which is funding the scholarship, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting technological education and innovation in Kyrgyzstan. The foundation's director, Ms. Ainura Bekova, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with KIAT.
"We believe that investing in education is investing in the future of our country," said Ms. Bekova. "We are proud to support KIAT in its mission to produce skilled professionals who will drive technological advancement in Kyrgyzstan."
Applications for the scholarship will open next month, and the first batch of recipients will be announced before the start of the next academic year. The university expects to award scholarships to approximately 50 students in the first year, with plans to expand the program in the future.
